 AFKsene: Aissatou Fatou Khary Sene. I am a self taught visual artist and a poet who started painting and writing to cope with depression. It’s therapeutic, a self discovery and a spiritual process. I surrender and let my mind transcends limitations. I don’t sketch nor draw and never visualize what is created. It just flows. The final result is always a surprise. For many years I mostly painted in black and white, I like the complex simplicity. The shapes, lines of my work are influenced by geometry, biology classes through my studies.
